August 26, 2021
Dear Parents, Teachers and Community Members:
Last night at our annual Budget Approval Board Meeting, the Board approved the mandatory wearing of face coverings on our school buses, which includes all activity trips. This approval follows Federal Law and Forsyth Schools is bound by law to follow the directive. Failure to do so could result in loss of federal dollars needed to run our school system.
Starting Monday, August 30, 2021, any student riding a district bus will not be allowed on unless wearing a face covering. If the student does not have a face covering, one will be provided by the district.
This is a change in our protocol and does not adhere to our face covering policy for school, however, we as a district will follow any/all federal mandate.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Dinny Bennett, Superintendent
